Global Excellence Scholarship at University of Dundee

The University of Dundee recognizes and rewards academic excellence through its Global Excellence Scholarship. This scholarship is designed for international students who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and wish to pursue their studies at the University of Dundee.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Hold a full-time offer to study an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate taught course (excluding any course in the School of Medicine or Dentistry) at the University of Dundee
  • Undergraduate: Hold an offer for a full-time, on-campus course with 120 credits
  • Postgraduate Taught: Hold an offer for a full-time, on-campus course in any academic school with 180 credits (except for PGDip in Professional Legal Practice)
  • Master of Research and Masters by Research courses are eligible for the scholarship
• Achieve:
  • Undergraduate: UK BBB A-Level or above (or equivalent)
  • Postgraduate Taught: UK 1st Class degree (or equivalent)
• Be classified as an international fee-paying student by the University of Dundee
• Have a course tuition fee of £19,600
• Not be studying a PhD course

Benefits of the Scholarship:

• The scholarship offers a tuition fee waiver worth £6,000
• The scholarship is paid in each year of applicable study:
  • Undergraduate applicants can receive the scholarship for up to 5 years of study (£30,000 over 5 years)
  • 3.5-year Undergraduate Degree in the School of Business is eligible for the scholarship from Year 2 onwards
  • Postgraduate Taught applicants (including Master of Research and Masters by Research) can receive the scholarship for both years of study if the course spans more than 12 months full time and a full year tuition fee is due in each academic year
• The scholarship is awarded unconditionally but is not linked to the course application status
• Scholarships cannot be awarded on a pro-rata basis

Application Process:

• There is no separate application form for the Global Excellence Scholarship
• The University of Dundee Admissions Team will determine if the applicant meets the eligibility criteria using all information on the course application
• The verification process will occur at the initial offer stage
• If an applicant has “pending” academic achievements at the time of offer, the scholarship will not be confirmed until academic achievements have been verified
• If an applicant does not meet the criteria for the scholarship, the University may inform them of other available scholarships.
